Betsy Benson is publisher and vice president of Pittsburgh Magazine, where she oversees operations at one of the region’s most vital media organizations. Pittsburgh Magazine has served the community for 42 years and today provides content through a monthly magazine, a website, and more than a dozen events held throughout the year. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Betsy has worked in journalism and publishing for 25 years, including 15 years at the Pittsburgh Business Times where she served as editor. Betsy was honored as a Legacy Laureate at Pitt in 2000 and as a Woman of Achievement by Celebrate & Share in 2010. She has supported numerous causes, including WQED, Go Red for Women, YMCA, and Powerlink.

SHU Position Open: CareerWorks Director

Seton Hill University is seeking candidates for a full-time opening for Director of CareerWorks. This position supervises the CareerWorks Department including all responsibilities related to career counseling and the internship program. The candidate will also promote an increased awareness of entrepreneurial skill development across all academic programs and liberal arts curriculum.
 

Candidates must have a minimum of three (3) years of work experience in career counseling as well as in managing internships, externships, practicums and other experiential education. A master’s degree in counseling, student affairs or related field is required; graduate degree in career counseling preferred.
 

Successful candidate will be a data driven decision maker, proficient in cultivating partnerships within the university and external communities and be resourceful and creative in their leadership approach.
