SBA Lending Is Up in Western PA

Kelly Hunt
The Pittsburgh Business Times reports that U.S. Small Business Administration loans in Western PA have doubled over last year

Kelly Hunt, Director of the SBA's Pittsburgh District, attributes this rise in loans to several factors. "The economy is starting to more more quickly in our district and the loans we’re doing are at higher amounts than we’ve done previously,” she told the Times.

Are you interested in learning about SBA funding for your business? Kelly will be at our "Bridges to Business" program this Thursday (April 16). Come meet her and ask her to "show you the money!"

Also in attendance from the SBA will be Erin E. Andrew, Assistant Administrator of the SBA's Office of Women's Business Ownership. Erin will give a Keynote Address called "Empowering Women Entrepreneurs," which will cover the following:

  • Overview of SBA programs and opportunities for women business owners and entrepreneurs;
  • Discussion of how SBA empowers women entrepreneurs through access to capital, contracting, and counseling; and
  • Examination of new and exciting initiatives impacting women entrepreneurs.
